While visiting my mom in France, we looked up organ builders and found the one closest to us, Philippe Emeriau in Angers. My mom called and explained a little about her son's obsession with pipe organs and we made an appointment to visit his shop on February 24, 2004. Mr. Emeriau gave up his whole morning to show me around his shop and answer all my questions. He let me take pictures of everything and gave me many samples of parts and materials.

Here are the parts and material samples he gave me. He worked on the restoration of the Notre Dame organ. The booklet he gave me describes the history of the organs of Notre Dame.
